First Friday: Creative Women’s Gathering   Friday, January 4, 7-9pm
$20 includes materials
Make time for your creative spirit!
The first Friday of each month, join like-minded souls to gather, create, reflect and recharge. Using mixed media art materials, and a touch of guided inspiration, we will take time to express the inner riches of our hearts. At this month’s gathering, we will enVISION  our hopes and dreams for 2013 by creating a vision board collage. No previous art experience necessary.

After School Art     Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30
Grades 1-6. $55 for a four- week block, or $15/class
Use your imagination, enjoy the process and get creative!
Experienced teaching artist Heidi Little offers a relaxed and playful
environment where children can paint, print, collage, build, and experiment
using a variety of natural, repurposed and traditional art materials.

Zentangle®: Where art and mindfulness meet
Monday, January 14, 6-8:30pm
$35. Workshop fee plus $10 materials fee

A relaxed, welcoming Open Studio environment, where support and enticing materials (paint, collage, natural & repurposed ingredients) are waiting for you to come & play!
A perfect moment for teachers, if you need to try out a visual art component for a unit you’re planning. An easy place and time for artists to work on your projects within a positive & encouraging environment.  Need feedback on an artwork you’ve made? Bring it!




Up Cycle Your Chair: Repurposed Furniture  January 22, 6:30-9pm or January 20 1-4pm
$30 includes materials
Using art to make something old seem new!
Do you have a piece of furniture that is hiding in a closet or dark corner? Use it as a canvas for your masterpiece! Turn that forgotten chair or table into a creative focal point…Bring your own piece of furniture, or adopt an item we have for a small “adoption fee”!
We’ll have paint and collage materials ready, as well as tools for improving your object. Come invent and have fun rethinking the function and look!

Making Bones for Peace   Jan. 25, 7-9pm or Jan. 27, 2-4pm, 
(or Jan. 29, 7-9pm as an option during Open Studio)
Materials provided (clay or plaster wrap) $5 materials donation
Become a part of this Visible Petition: We use the symbol of the bone to discuss values, our shared humanity, our responsibility to each other and our responsibility to speak out for those who can’t.
One Million Bones is a collaborative social arts practice that uses education and art making to raise awareness about genocides and mass atrocities taking place today, particularly those in Sudan, Burma, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The goal of One Million Bones is to create one million handmade bones worldwide, which will be exhibited at the National Mall in Washington D.C. in June 2013.

Music playing, yummy snacks, clinking glasses, & friendly surroundings....It's relaxed & fun!
Come try painting! Create an artwork you'll be proud to put on your wall or give away. It will feel more like a party than a class, where we'll focus on having fun.
